The Week in Dead Trees – 12/18/09
Published December 18th, 2009
Well kids, we’re still figuring out where the bathrooms are in our lush, new offices here in my spare bedroom that I’m forced to share with my cat, but we made it through our first full week together and you know what? I still respect you… how about that, sugar lumps?
So, what did we learn this week?
- That the pitchman for OSH is either crazy or a fan of the inhalants…
- That, despite my hatred of their perky ways, Adweek gave the Mac ads the Campaign of the Decade…
- That Adweek is about as supportive of new media as your ex is of you and your crazy idea of starting a new website…
- That our first guest poster knows there’s nothing better than a good dick joke at Tiger Wood’s expense…
- That Nike couldn’t make it through the decade without stoking the flames of the battles of the sexes…
- That the copywriters for the Chase Bank campaign know when to step back and let the magic happen…
- That New Zealand hasn’t learned to not eff with the Big Guy…
- The the Droid is spending a boat load of cash trying to grab the geeks, but not the chicks…
- That the effed out Helpful Honda People love a good nut joke…
- That Pepsi pulled out of the Super Bowl and I think I grew a little as a person…
- That internet marketing is raping Mother Nature as much as the rest of the the marketing world…
Wow, were we busy! It’s almost like it’s been pent up and you guys were the first one we could bang after a dry spell. Don’t worry, we felt a little something near the end…
